If you don't mind instant coffee granules or powder, it isn't that difficult to make a cup of coffee. You just put a teaspoonful of it in a cup or mug, boil some water, pour it on, stir and then serve. However, if you want "proper" coffee, not instant, the process isn't quite so easy unless you have a coffee machine.
There are many different types of coffee machine available and which one you choose will depend on the features and the price of the appliance. In a domestic environment, you don't necessarily need all the "bells and whistles" that a commercial enterprise would require, but if you want to make different types of coffee, you'll want something a little fancy.
First of all, you can choose the look and size of the coffee machine. If you only have a small space available, there's no point buying a huge machine and this may restrict the facilities that it has. For example, it will affect the number of cups of coffee which can be produced before the water reservoir must be refilled. In terms of appearance, there is either plastic or stainless steel to choose from and plastic may come in a variety of colours depending of the make of the machine.
Another early decision will be whether you want a filter machine with a jug or whether you want an espresso machine. The latter is usually more versatile but may well cost more to buy and you'll also need to buy more coffee as by it's nature espresso is usually stronger than filter coffee.
Filter coffee machines usually have a jug which sits on a hotplate to keep the coffee warm. This is useful if you have a lot of people drinking coffee, for example in an office, but although you can vary the number of cups you make, it isn't really practical for a lone drinker (unless you drink far too much) because the hotplate doesn't really keep the coffee that warm over time and the flavour becomes a bit "stewed" if not drunk within an hour or so.
Espresso machines, particularly really do come in all different shapes and sizes, from the tiny little one cup machines to the large (and expensive) types which have a large reservoir, grind the coffee, dispense and tamp it down then discards the spent coffee when the water has run through. All you have to do with one of these is make sure that there is enough water and beans then froth the milk if you want it.
Medium priced espresso machines will usually have a reasonably large water reservoir and a milk frothing system. Cheaper ones will probably only hold enough water for a couple of cups and won't have a frother. It's really horses for courses depending on how much and what sort of coffee you like to drink.
Many brands have similar models of the machine, so you may want to visit a few different electrical shops and compare prices, brand facilities and warranty conditions, before you make your decision.
Whichever type you buy, don't forget that there is different ready ground coffee for filter machines than for espresso machines so make sure that you pick up the right sort in the supermarket. Either way, once water has run through the coffee, don't even think about trying to use the coffee again or it will look and taste like dishwater!
If you choose the right machine for the job, then you should have good tasty coffee whenever you want it.

The Perfect Pod Holster allows you to use virtually any pod 55mm and greater in your Keurig coffee Machine. It features a self tamping spring which extracts a beter cup of coffee or tea. You can also make your own custom coffee pods using the Perfect Pod Maker (sold seperately) for the perfect cup of coffee you have been looking for.
Customer Review: Very helpful
This pod holster is very helpful as it lets you use the Senseo pods for more choices.
Customer Review: Did not work as expected but....
Bought the holster to save money of course on the K cups. I bought the Douwe egberts pods on sale and used them on the holster as directed. I brewed as directed numerous times but the taste of the coffee that came out had a consistently diluted taste. Looking at the design I thought that the base being left open to accommodate the spring mechanism led to decreased hot water pressure inside the pod which was the strength of the K cups. In the K cups the hot water gets forced into the coffee granules under pressure thus leading to a full taste. So to get around this problem I recycled the K cups by washing out the used coffee and after letting the filter dry I cut open a pod and poured the contents inside the recycled K cup (which of course has the cover foil removed). I just used the cover of the holster to act as a cap on the K cup and placed it in the machine. The difference in the taste was like night and day. Try this method yourself to see the difference. The pod holster concept was great, but I think you could use it another way to get a better tasting cup of coffee.

Customer Review: 10x the cost of Swiss Miss packets for an inferior product and no real convenience factor!
Let me start this review by saying that I ***LOVE*** my Keurig machine! I can get a great cup of coffee, any strength, any brew, any boldness, any flavor, without brewing up a whole pot. It is a brilliant concept for coffee, which has always lent itself to either mass-brewing or pathetic "instant-coffee". Tea and cocoa, however, typically cost anywhere from $1-$4 per box of 20-30 bags/packets. Tea and cocoa are inherantly single-shot items to begin with, so the idea of paying $10-14 for a box of 24 tea or cocoa K-cups is ludicrous. It offers no real extra convenience and costs about ten times the price. It would be like buying a Kia Rio for $8,000 or a Daewoo Leganza for $80,000... they are both basically the same car, so why pay ten times more for one? It just makes no sense. On a side note, I also have found that this cocoa is a bit watery at times and doesn't even hold up to a packet of Swiss Miss and some hot water.
Customer Review: Weak
You have to use two of these cocoa's. One you have to open and put in the cup while using another in the machine. This cocoa is very weak in taste and texture.
These days, why bother spending the time and gas money going to a brick-and-mortar shopping mall when you can find everything you need at an online mall? With a click of your mouse, you can have electronics, housewares, health and beauty products, office products, tools, sports and recreational toys and games without ever having to leave your house.
Personally, I've never cared for shopping. I've always found it to be a hassle. Although it may sound sacrilegious to shopaholics, I can't stand the thought of getting dressed, traipsing to the car in inclement weather, battling for a parking space, and going from store to store in search of that elusive gift or necessity. I'd much rather surf the Web and let my fingers do the shopping.
Even my ten-year-old son loves to shop in online malls. Of course, I'm always by his side to make sure he only visits appropriate sites, but he looks forward to spending his allowance at small and large online malls. His preference is to peruse the personal electronics sections of online malls, particularly video games. After saving up for two months, he recently bought a Nintendo DS game, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. After he makes a purchase, he looks forward to checking the mail and watching for the UPS truck to roll down our street, and is delighted when his package arrives.
My husband also frequents online malls, primarily to look for sports equipment and tools. He plays basketball and baseball in recreational leagues, and never seems to have enough baseball bats. Whenever there's a job to be done around the house and he doesn't have the required tools, he orders them online and they've usually arrived by the time the next weekend rolls around.
As for me, I'm partial to shopping for housewares in online malls. I've found great deals on kitchen appliances - especially a toaster with touchpad controls and a 12-cup programmable coffeemaker. Thanks to my online shopping experiences, my kitchen is decked out with everything from the latest and greatest blender to a handy quesadilla maker.
In all honesty, though, my online purchases aren't limited to housewares. I can't remember the last time I went to the mall. I buy virtually everything except groceries online - and when online grocery service was available in my area, I bought my groceries online, too.
In my world, online malls are a godsend. It's just my preference, but there are so many things I'd rather do than go shopping.

Well if you like to take control of your playlist and arrange the order of your sounds then this isn't for you because as you can't see a display and the shuffle really is a key feature but if like me you just like to load on your favorite songs and sit back to enjoy the ride then this will serve you well.

Customer Review: Excellent coffee
My wife and I love the coffee. It was a hit in the office as well.
In order to produce a create coffee drink of espresso - one requires a dedicated machine that delivers a highly pressurized stream of hot water necessary for processing this particular kind of fine, powder-like ground coffee. With a thicker consistency than drip coffee, little amounts of espresso are usually served - often as a shot. However, it is very common to see espresso mixed with other beverages, such as cappuccino and lattes, in an attempt to lessen the strong taste and level of caffeine.
With a history that dates back to the early 20th century in Milan, Italy - espresso has become a famous drink amongst coffee lovers. This trend has prompted an increasing number of people to purchase their own espresso coffee machines in order to bring home the taste they deeply enjoy.
Before you attempt to use your espresso machine (depending on your model), you will probably need to get an espresso grinder and espresso beans, demitasse cups, and water. When approaching the topic of water in regards to using your espresso machine, it is suggested to keep in mind that bottled spring water is not the premium choice for your machine. The amount of minerals found in spring water will spoil your espresso machine. Alternatively, it is preferable to use water that has gone through a process of filtration.
To get an overview of how to use an espresso machine, an example of instructions is posted below:
1) First, you will pour clear, cold water into the water enclosure of your machine. The boiler cap on your unit should be closed. In order to create one shot of espresso - one ounce of water is needed. A double shot requires two ounces. Depending on your espresso machine, you may be able to produce up to four shots at one time.
2) Position the coffee basket in the filter holder, followed by lightly packing in the ground coffee. Most filters will provide a way to measure how much espresso you are creating.
3) Next, you will remove any grounds found on the sides and top of the filter. The filter holder is then placed in the espresso machine.
4) If your machine comes with a glass carafe, this is the time where you position the carafe under the spout. When no carafe is available, a cup is enough. Turn on the machine and in due time - the water is heated to the appropriate temperature and then forced through the coffee grounds.
5) The ideal espresso shot delivers brown foam (referred to as "crema") to the top of the coffee as it begins to flow into your container. When the foam starts to turn white, this is an indication that the liquid with the best taste is no longer exiting the machine. Quickly remove your cup or carafe.
When looking for the proper beans to use with your espresso machine, you should know that specially selected and roasted options are found at major supermarket chains or coffee specialty shops. Serious espresso drinkers normally purchase an espresso grinder and produce their own ground coffee before brewing.
